Upland Hunting

New York is blessed with a fantastic amount of public grounds with which to chase our native upland game birds, grouse and woodcock.  The last two decades have not been kind to our native pheasants however ample opportunity for released birds exist, including on the fabled, Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area, where the American Field National Pheasant Championship was held from the 1950's straight through until a few years ago when the State of New York's Department of Environmental Conservation became openly hostile to the event. Three Rivers WMA, in Baldwinsville, NY is sacred ground for bird dog handlers, and it also is my "home" grounds.
