Lunatic Fringe Ride The Lightning -"Talica" was our pick of the litter from the second pairing of Emmylou (NA 112/UT 204)  and Cedarwoods Comfortably Numb (NA 112/UT 204). This was a well planned breeding with the intention of pairing two of the top NAVHDA scoring, and hunting, pudelpointers in North America, in an intelligent way to maximize the contributions of the historically important dogs, Cedarwoods First Offense and Hidden Acres Atlas. 

 

I did not believe I would ever see a young puppy as advanced as Emmylou, however Talica was every bit as impressive.  Her Natural Ability Test was easily the most impressive I have ever seen any dog perform.  And just like her mom, she also titled in NAVHDA Utility Testing at an incredibly young age.  Historically, fewer than 3% of NAVHDA Utility titles are earned by dogs under a year and a half of age.  Both Emmylou and Talica exhibited the drive and cooperation to achieve significant UT scores at incredibly young ages. 

 

Talica began her first hunting season at five months of age hunting grouse, woodcock, and pheasant, and she ended it a few months later, in frigid conditions, hunting sea ducks on the coast of Massachusetts while sharing the ocean with seals!  That is the type of versatility we require of our dogs. Talica tops if off with a fantastic "off switch" demeanor in the house.

Talica represents the next foundational female for our Kennel.  We cannot wait to see what adventures she takes us on during the journey of her life.
